How the club is run
All coaches and helpers at Ipswich Judo Club are volunteers. The club is run by a committee which is elected annually with roles you would expect such as Chairman, Treasurer, Vice Chairman and so on. If you’d be interested in joining the committee then come and ask us. However, you don’t need to be on the committee to help with the running of the club. We are always on the look-out for willing volunteers and it may just be that you have a skill that could help us. People to help at the desk are always welcome so that we have cover if people can’t get along, and we can always use help to organise events.
Typical roles we need help with are:
- Club Welfare officer – a committee role for somebody to be the point of contact if a member has an issue relating to child protection or general welfare
- Desk helper – somebody to take money, deal with gradings, or lots of other general admin
- Website & comms
- Fund raising
